Yumi x Julia Sherman | Recipe Development & Launch Coordination
A collaboration between baby food company Yumi and artist and cook Julia Sherman, creator of Salad for President. The engagement supported the development of three limited-edition Chef Series jars, bringing Sherman’s creative approach into recipes shaped for Yumi’s youngest eaters.
What I Led
Supporting recipe development from early formulation through pre-launch readiness. The work included ingredient research within the project’s dietary requirements, excluding gluten, dairy, nuts and preservatives, alongside sensory development aligned with Yumi’s taste and visual standards. Timeline coordination connected recipe development with the creative and production teams.
What Shifted
Three recipes reached launch on schedule: Butterfly Pea Coconut Cream, Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash Purée, and Coconut Amaranth Porridge. The collaboration translated a distinctive culinary vision into production-ready jars, balancing flavour, colour and texture with the ingredient requirements of baby food.
