Overview

54 Thrones (via Forested) - Ingredient Procurement & Product Integration

54 Thrones is an award-winning beauty brand celebrating African beauty rituals. Through Forested, I supported their integration of Geteme honey - sourced from Ethiopian farmers - into a hero SKU that later became part of Oprah's Favourite Things.

What I Led

I coordinated the full procurement pipeline: from field sourcing through export, quality assurance, and U.S. co-manufacturer handoff. I also worked across compliance documentation and logistics, ensuring that raw materials moved smoothly and aligned with brand and product development timelines. Additionally, I supported storytelling and media asset coordination tied to sourcing origin.

What Shifted

Geteme honey became a key differentiator in 54 Thrones' body butter, which gained major retail and media attention. The product's origin story was featured in brand videos and campaign materials, creating visibility not just for the ingredient - but for the women producing it. I helped operationalize the bridge between regenerative supply and high-growth brand outcomes.
