Maryiza is a single-origin honey line developed under Forested to support Ethiopian farmers and offer premium, traceable products to the U.S. market. I was on the founding team, leading brand development and operations.

What I Led

I built backend logistics for U.S. distribution, managed international export readiness (including compliance, QA, and traceability), and helped shape the brand narrative - bridging sourcing transparency with editorial-level storytelling. My role spanned operations, product marketing, and stakeholder engagement across three continents.

What Shifted

Maryiza launched with global media recognition (NYT, Bon Appétit, Esquire) and stood out as a model for regenerative, smallholder-based CPG. The launch brought East African supply chains into premium retail spaces - with systems strong enough to scale.
